Since our inaugural year, Mead Stampede has been a “virtual” competition. While judges judged in-person, we greatly limited exposure by not holding any public events. Last year, that all changed.
We will again be hosting The Jamboree, our in-person awards ceremony here in Oklahoma City.
During the Jamboree, we will have an extensive bottle share event, featuring styles and selections that run the gamut of meads.
We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to share a selection of difficult-to-find authentic Polish style meads:
- Trójniak Bernardynski
- Czwórniak Korzenny
- Półtorak Jadwiga
- Dwójniak Kurpiowski
And from Man Made Mead, a selection of 40 hopped session meads, so you can compare the nuance of hops aromas and flavors in mead.
We will also have a selection of commercial examples of sessionable Hard Honey drinks from Meridian Hive.
You are invited to send in bottles or bring bottles for the bottle share. If you’d like to submit a mead, please fill out this Google form. Bottles can be sent in during our shipping window, but must be marked in some way to let us know that is your intention.
The Jamboree will feature a light dinner, totally free of charge to attendees. Dinner and drinks are sponsored by TK & Drinks, Doin’ the Most Brewing, and Fox and Raven Mead! Dinner will feature:
- chicken salad
- croissants
- pasta salad
- chips
- cookies

July 18th, 2024 from 9am-6pm
Open to invited parties only.
Sixteen judges will judge hundreds of mead entries and select the winners for each category. Winners will be announce the following day.
The Jamboree – Awards Ceremony
